Climate Change is Real, and It’s Happening Now
According to , the evidence is clear. Human activity is the principal cause of global warming on an unprecedented scale not seen in the last 10,000 years.
NASA presents the following as evidence of rapid climate change:
- Global temperature is rising.
- Ocean is getting warmer.
- Ice sheets are shrinking.
- Glaciers are retreating.
- Snow cover is decreasing.
- Sea levels are rising.
- Arctic sea ice is declining.
- Extreme weather events are increasing in frequency.
- Ocean acidification is increasing.
While there are things we can do to protect the environment on an individual level, it’s also important that we hold polluting industries accountable. Americans ages 18 and older have the right to vote, so be sure to register and show up at the polls to make sure your voice is heard in all upcoming elections.
